What are your fees?

We charge a processing fee of 7% if you are on the Free plan and 9% if you are on the All-Access plan. This covers the cost of using Stripe's secure technology that keeps your money and information safe. Our fee is competitively priced and one of the cheapest you'll find.

How are my details protected?

We use Stripe's infrastructure to keep your personal details safe. Stripe is one of the most trusted payment softwares available, trusted by millions of companies worldwide. How do I know when the buyer has made the payment?

Once the buyer has made the payment you will be notified by email.

Does the buyer need to have a simplify.art account for the payment to be processed?

No, any buyer can purchase artworks through simplify.art without making an account.

What happens if the artwork I've purchased is not delivered?

If you have received confirmation that your payment has been processed successfully, delivery has been organised but your artwork has still not arrived, you can lodge a dispute. Our customer service team will then be in touch to track down your artwork and get it delivered to you ASAP.

What happens if the artwork I've purchased is damaged?

If your artwork is damaged you can lodge a dispute. Our customer service team will then be in touch to act as a mediator between you and the seller to find a resolution.

Is Payment Invites available on simplify.art's free plan?

Yes, Payment Invites can be used on our free plan. If you are on the All-Access plan, you will get a discount on the processing fee (7% instead of 9%).

Viewing Rooms

Can I create a private Viewing Room?

Absolutely. You can make your Viewing Room private by setting up a password that you will share with any viewers so only they can access the Viewing Room.

Can I choose to hide the price of pieces and disable purchasing?

Yes, when creating your Viewing Room you have the option to present your work without any prices or the ability for the viewer to make a purchase.

Is Viewing Rooms available on simplify.art's free plan?

You will need to purchase our All-Access plan to use Viewing Rooms. A simplify.art subscription gives you access to a whole bunch of features that makes managing your art easier such as exporting portfolios, insurance lists and loan agreements, managing your contacts, adding images from Dropbox and editing multiple artworks in your inventory at once. Discovery

How do I add an artwork to Discovery?

In order for your works to be published in Discovery and shown to potential buyers by our AI, you will have to add text in the field "Public Description" when you add an artwork and upload a text that is related to the work. It can be:

  • a work description you write yourself
  • a related exhibition text
  • an excerpt or the full length text from a publication or
  • a review that someone else wrote about your exhibition/work.

The text you add will help the AI to understand what your art is about and who to suggest it to.

Make sure you also fill out the 5 basics:

  • Artist name
  • Title of the work
  • Year of creation
  • Technique (like acrylic on canvas, or resin or stone)
  • Dimensions

Can I publish artwork to Discovery if I'm on the free plan?

Yes, publishing to Discovery can be done on our free plan. If you are on the All-Access plan, you will get a discount on the processing fee (7% instead of 9%) when your artworks are purchased.
